Regina 1 – AC Milan 2

Brazil striker Alexandre Pato ensured AC Milan’s second victory in a week.

The 19-year-old scored the winner in the 77th minute, after Bernado Corradi had equalised Marco Borriello’s opener for Milan.

Ancelotti again left Ronaldinho and Shevchenko on the bench with Borriello and Pato leading the line. Borriello repaid the coach’s faith in him by opening the scoring in the 24th minute when he headed Clarence Seedorf’s free-kick in the area and past goalkeeper Andrea Campagnolo.

With Shevchenko in the pitch replacing injured Borriello, Milan conceded the equalizer. Corradi used his strength to hold off Kakha Kaladze before calmly slotting the ball past Abbiati in the Milan goal.

However, the best was yet to come. Brazilian Pato put Milan back on track midway through the second-half. Kaka set off down the right before pulling the ball across to his fellow Brazilian and he fired past Campagnolo with a first-time shot.
