Beckam keen to return to AC Milan

David Beckham made a good job during his loan to AC Milan, helping them secure a place in the Champions League next season, and with the hope he will be able to play the World Cup in South Africa 2010.

For now, the England international returns to the Los Angeles Galaxy to conclude the Major League Soccer season, but he still is eager to come back to the Rossoneri club.

He has the option of terminating his contract with the Galaxy at the end of the year, meaning he could return to AC Milan from next January, when the winter transfer opens.

Beckam has not helped to enlight his future.

“I cannot say anything more on my future compared to two weeks or two months ago,” Beckham said.

“Now I go back to Los Angeles for the end of the season and then we will see what happens.

“Still, I hope to come back soon. My thanks go to everybody.

“They have been fantastic to me from start to finish in making me feel part of the squad from the very first minute and I wish them all the best of luck.”

Should Beckham return to Milan during next season, he will find a new head coach after Leonardo was today confirmed to replace Carlo Ancelotti.

The England international found warm words for the man who was instrumental in bringing him back to Europe in January.

“With Carlo Ancelotti leaving AC Milan, it is the end of an era, the end of some extraordinary years,” Beckham said on the club’s website.

“But wherever he goes, they will be a fortunate club to have him as their coach.”
